driving a new car now, an 07 hyundai accent. it's white, and it's kinda cool. it runs really nicely out on the road and i have an ipod adapter set up so i can listen to it in the car. overall it's badass, and the warranty that hyundai offers is cool too.
on a random note, i found out the guy who i talked to about ordering a bowflex (an idea i didn't follow through with) is a professional wrestler. he wrestles in independent circuits on the northwest coast. i've emailed him and he's actually a good dude. skeptical as hell about making a living as a wrestler, and i kinda figured so if he's working part time with Bowflex too. I told him that I was thinking about it and he set me up to meet the guy who runs the Texas Wrestling Academy here in town. I'm also going to check out a few practice sessions to see if it's what I really wanna try doing in about two years when I'm done with school. as for me and baseball, i still love the game passionately, but i guess i ended up being one of those guys who loves the game but it doesn't love him back, ya know?
cameron starr (the guy's ring name...you can YouTube it if you want) or Aaron Nelson (his real name) also said "if there's one piece of advice i'll give you about wrestling, it's this: dont ever say its fake" apparently back when he began training in 2001, one of the guys starting out training was joking about how fake it was, less than two minutes later he had a broken jaw, and never set foot near a wrestling ring again. that kinda cracked me up, i think he was sort of impressed by how much i knew about the business with character personas, cutting promos, heels propping up babyfaces, and getting your gimmick over with the audience.
Rudy Gonzalez gave me his phone number at the texas wrestling academy and i think this saturday i'm going to try to swing out there to see what they have going on. My mom's not thrilled at all to see me getting into this but we peacefully agreed I'll finish college to have a backup plan and then I'll see how this goes.
Apparently the guy at bowflex is going as far as setting up a weight training program specifically for me. Free of charge, nothing. I think that's pretty cool.
Run with this for a few months, see how everything's going and if I still wanna do it or not. Maybe one day I'll sport a championship belt around my waist, or me and Jon will just keep putting each other in the hospital lol. Good times
