help sought - book recommendations?

I'm looking for incredibly powerful, recently published books.  Non-fiction is preferred but it's not a deal breaker.  No points awarded for subtlety, this week as I'm in search of jaw-dropping, indignation-inspiring text here.

Nothing weaker than say, The Shock Doctrine...  I'm thinking more along the lines of Surviving Auschwitz..

Any suggestions?
