Today
I got to witness a sliver of history, anyway. I walked into the break room shortly after 9:00 this morning to get more sugar for my tea, and it was at the precise moment that Obama began to take his oath of office. Some of my co-workers were standing around the TV, which got very fuzzy reception...but it was enough. It was enough.
I caught the first part of his speech before I had to go back and make a phone call.
The TV was still on at lunch. But it was on the Spanish channel (the only channel that seemed to come in with any decent reception, oddly enough). The sound was turned off anyway.
So yeah...didn't see much. But at least I saw the critical part.
Just hanging out watching the news coverage tonight.
Lance has started on the taxes. Which is all good and fine, except that I haven't received my W-2 forms yet.
In other news, I cried on the way home from work today. But that was nothing to do with the events of today. It has more to do with how I feel about my life right now.
