Makeup and fashion obsessions
As I was on the train today, I was reflecting on the importance of this year. I want to look back on the year I was 25 and say "I learned so much about myself this year, I made so much self improvement this year". And I realized that my makeup and fashion obsessions are more than just preoccupations: they are a way for me to improve myself, while learning about things I love, and learning about myself as well.
For example, why do I love color? I think my preoccupation with these areas are the beginning of self-expression. Who do I really want to be? I don't think its merely vanity that is driving me to become better; I think deep down, the inner artist is striving to come out, and I want to support her along the way! LOL Besides, after school is done, I will be working damn hard, so I should enjoy myself damn hard in any way that I please. And if someone has something to say about it, its not their money anyway. :-P
