I knew there was something else I wanted to post yesterday! The New York Times announced its list of 10 Best Picture Books! I was tickled because A Ball for Daisy is on that list and that was what I had planned to  blog about yesterday.  Well, I wasn't lucky enough to be in San Diego this year, but I did get online to view the awards. Only, I forgot that I had a special advisory period today. So it was a kind of "that's good, that's bad" experience. I did learn about some of the awards before my kids came in.

 I can die happy now. I have attended The Awards Ceremony. Ever since becoming a school librarian, I have wanted to attend at least one ALA Annual meeting and one ALA Midwinter meeting. I attended the annual in July and now this Midwinter in Boston. I plan on attending the annual in D.C. as well.
