there is a devine timing, i'm now convinced. whether it is god, or just a cosmic balance, everything happens in it's right time.
i flew in last night, got in about 11. We decided that we should go to the hospital immediately, because there was no telling how much longer he really had. i told him i was glad to be able to come see him, and that i loved him. i wanted to do unto him as i wish to have done unto me. we left around 12:30 or so and went back to my parents house.
we have family staying here, my dad's sisters and my cousins, all camping in different rooms so we can be here with my grandma and for him as he passes.
at 10, my aunt and cousins were saying their goodbyes and about to head to the hospital when my grandma called and said he had passed. we all went to the room to be with her. 30 minutes later, and they would have been on the road. now we are all here together to help her while she makes plans for the body, etc.
it has been a sad week for everyone, and a sad day especially. but, it has taken the passing of this kind and gentle man to bring an estranged family together, in harmony, to celebrate his life, and the bonds of family.
everything in it's place, everything in it's time.
