Blood.
A million shadows of human emotion.
Blood was all that was left now. His blood. Owen never intended to kill the man but put the fear of God in him just like he did to Lizzie. Little Lizzie Loo the woman he raped and murdered under that bridge. The flash back was more than anything he’d ever felt before. He was there, feeling how terrified and scared she was and unable to do anything about it. It was the worst feeling in the world.
He remembered sitting back on the couch and telling them all how terrified she was. How he felt more than simply standing there and watching a bad night. His eyes darkened as he asked Tosh to search for that name.
Ed Morgan.
“You’re not like the others, you don’t follow the herd. You’re smart, don’t you like it that someone can see how smart you are. I can see you Lizzie the way you really are.” It was as if the words were etched into his brain. Owen knew he had to get revenge for her. Someone had to bring this case back open and not let this monster get away with what he did. She was an only child and her parents had lost her, all because of some man that wanted a quick fuck. Owen started to shake with anger. He remembered everything about that day. How the man had now turned into a paranoid recluse that claimed everyone knew he killed her by simply looking at him. He wasted his life away trying to hide from what he did but it was never enough.
“I’ve got the knife Edward, so close, as close as I am now. Why should you get away with it? You said you were sorry you said you didn’t want to hurt her but you didn’t stop.” Gwen’s voice stopped him from going any further and it was then he turned and watched him walk into that blade. Deep down they all knew he wanted to be killed. He couldn’t live after what he had done but Owen tried to save him anyway.
“I screwed up I know I did.”
