Fourth Letter
*PM comes on screen back in her normal rags and looking more than a bit put off. She's sitting on a pile of cut branches and vines with a black sword plunged into the ground in front of her and her hood and face mask down, in front of an overgrown building. The building looks old and run down, but is intact, with a faded sign reading "Post Office" over the door.*
I cannot believe you people have let a post office sit and rot instead of making use of it. I had been hoping that there was a postal service of some sort here and I simply hadn't been informed, but if there is nothing at all, I cannot accept that. What sort of civilization can exist without mail? It is a representation of liberty, honor and free exchange that cannot be replaced by technology. A video on a screen cannot replace the feeling of holding a letter in your fingers, carefully hand written and mailed in the trust that it will be seen by your eyes and your eyes only. A computer cannot carry a package across the city and into the waiting hands of a dear friend or trusted associate. And most importantly, a computer will not dutifully present the message to its recipient to make perfectly certain that it will not be lost amongst a pile of messages meant for others.
As a former Parcel Mistress, it is my responsibility to correct this glaring oversight. From now on, if you ever have anything to send to someone, bring it to [X;Y] and I will make certain it gets where it needs to be, regardless of weather, wildlife or unfortunate alterations. *She stands up, drawing her sword from the ground to make the point that she'll even fight her way through any sort of danger if she has to.* Or if you cannot reach me, send a message over this network and I will personally come to pick up your parcel. Anyone else who wishes to help is welcome, but of course I will not expect you to risk life or limb to aid me in my duty.
