Comparing some feminist ideas on abortion...

The ability to not make one's own decisions about her own body is personal and political. Women suffer a lot in that regard, rape, domestic violence, sexual harassment. etc. The problem is people think the natural conclusion to that is abortion and given the fact women are constantly treated as though they are disposable, it's no wonder they've learned to treat their children as disposable 'choices'.

Abortion is used to cover up the lack of progress made in protecting and supporting women. Rape is a huge problem and what have done to counter it? abortion. What great anti-rape legislation have you seen lately? none. It's still a common crime that is hard to prosecute. Poverty is a huge problem, and we only have half-assed solutions too. So if you're a poor single college student and you get pregnant what can you do? well there's abortion. Women are still not allowed to be sexual beings. Women get awful labels for having and enjoying sex, or being a single parent. We really can't counter these views so what do we have? Abortion so you can keep your sex life private.

Abortion has become the end all be all in women's rights because...well what else do we have?
