So I finally got around to seeing the Star Trek Reboot (do we have an official name/acronym for that yet?) Saturday morning. I was a little unsure coming in about some of the casting (looking at you, Zach Quinto), not to mention the whole J. J. Abrams ridiculousness, but it blew my expectations out of the water.

I'm probably going straight to hell for this, but I finally got around to watching the National Treasure sequel (shut up, it's a guilty pleasure), and the fact that there is no Ben/Abigail/Riley fic is incredibly disappointing. Rule 34, why have you failed me?

Obviously I should go invoke Rule 35 and get writing.

I might have just downloaded the Speed Racer song from the new movie. OOPS.

It's so catchy!

As far as I'm concerned, cinematic excellence will never again reach the peak of 1978's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Seriously: "Mean Mr. Mustard" sung by robots! Hallucinatory billboards! Death by porch! Dance battles!

Also I kind of want Dougie Shears to be my boyfriend. :(

I have just seen what may be the best movie ever made. Now, you have to understand - I am not a film person. I hate 95% of classic cinema and indie movies, and don't really have the tolerance for a lot of modern mainstream stuff.
