(no subject)
Quick update.
2005 is apparently not meant to be the year remembered in music.
Big disappointments include-
Billy Corgan
Dave Matthews Band
Foo Fighters
Audioslave
and to add to the list... the new Depeche Mode album. Besides the single (which is basically the same as "enjoy the silence" but with the keys inverted basically, there's only one other good song, "A pain that i'm used to." The crap-ness started with Dave Gahan's solo album, continued with "Exciter" and now we have this. Granted, its better than Exciter, but thats not saying much. Kelly Clarkson's album is better than "Exciter." Maybe its time to hang the synthesizers?
Granted, im an impossible person to please, when it comes to music, but the above artists need to get slapped. There's enough bad music around already.
On the flipside the only good albums that i've heard this year would be:
Coldplay- "X&Y"
Nine Inch Nails- "With Teeth"
Black Eyed Peas- "Monkey Business"
