Write a poem about Mother's kitchen, you are not allowed to be in the poem. Include an oven, something green, something dead, and a female relation entering the poem.

Just another Day of Many Past and Many To Come

The kitchen is so silent, but it won’t be soon.
I just sit here and photosynthesize,
Occasionally mother feeds me.
It’s good to be a basil plant; I see and smell many things.
Life sucks when no one waters me.
I hate to be so dependant,
But at least I smell good.

I like being useful,
Occasionally my leaves are plucked from me.
Mother uses them in her cooking.
It hurts when mother does it,
But at least it’s for a good cause.
It’s not like I’ll be able to grow into a large tree.
There’s a tree outside I watch.
It is so grand!
I do not want to be a tree though.
Too many things to watch out for,
Especially rodents.

Ooh! Mother just walked in with a bag in hand!
I wonder what’s in the bag.
I was given this drug once, it made me feel great.
Perhaps it was called fertilizer, I don’t know much,
Just the gossip in the outside.

Mother pulls an animal out of her bag.
I’ve seen that animal before, outside.
That animal sometimes chews on the plants.
It’s not moving.
Actually, it smells bad too.
I think the animal is dead.
Mother puts the animal in the freezer.
This is a sad day, for I will miss watching it.
I think mother calls it a cat.

Putting that aside, I hope she feeds me.
Mother walks past me.
She’s not going to feed me.
This is unfortunate.
Mother turns on the oven.
Ooh, This is good, I’ll get some attention.
