[ ... What! Does she like listening to her own voice? This- ]

Is it a weird way of saying, 'I like to be warm this time of year'?

In part. It is very weird! Well, it's my way.

Also that I have burrowing habits. Among other things.

Kitchen knives, too, I hear.

[ What!?

I do like those all right. It's just that they're mostly kept from me, these days. Therefore, wire hangers.

[he isn't alone, i'm sure. shijima, on the other hand, sounds a little engaged by this.]

I'm trying to figure out if it's a natural difficulty to be more direct.

I feel like I'm asked that rather often.

Then, be more direct and you'll get asked less.

[ ritsuka, you're a pretty hypocritical conversationalist, you know? ]

You're right that it's a proper train of logic.

Do you know how many scabs you've had throughout your life?

I don't count them.

Most people don't. I have had seven.

It doesn't sound like many.

[ oh, but ... then, again, he's pretty sure she must be about his age ( LOL, ritsuka. ) and. oh. hmm. maybe seven is a normal amount for a kid 'their' age.

was that an unintentional slip? he should be more conscious of how he answers things. ]

From wire coat hangers?

[luckily,] It isn't many. The first time I acquired a scab was a short time after stumbling and scraping my knee. The second was on the back of my hand, thanks to concrete. The third was nearly unnoticeable; it was hidden by my hair, because it was on my forehead, due to an incident involving a ceiling. And so on... I have never gained a scab from a wire coat hanger.
