All right, is there anybody else planning to go to the Reclamation Beach-thing for the first sunrise of the new year two weeks from now? It's going to be cold, but I'm planning to camp out there for most of early morning. Maybe drop by the ski lodge earlier in the evening and just stay in there, though I'm not sure they'd let me in, being a poor,

Oh, it's just what we call the first temple visit of the year. My family used to go every year, and I was planning to go with my sister this year. If I didn't. You know.

Er, not really? We're pretty normal. Just somewhat traditional, I guess, the family's a bit old.

As for the beach, would it not be cold in the snow?

I'd be lying if I say I'm looking forward to the snow. Going to watch the sunrise isn't something I usually do, really, but this year...I feel like I should. It's a bit odd.

And it's all right. I'm sure it looks that way to everybody else, anyway. To us it's just a nice tradition, probably like hanging socks at the fireplace.
