2880.04.23 - Hardtop Weatherstrip Materials (Pt. 4)
- Inserted backer rod foam into weatherstripping
I came up with an idea that seems to have worked. I made a slit along the top of the weatherstripping, cut a side/edge off of the length of rod, and then pulled each side into position. This seems to have worked nicely and I like the result better than previous attempts. I used some weatherstripping adhesive along the slit and taped it in place to cure, so hopefully the cut that I made will not create any problems. If it all looks good once the adhesive has set, I will do the same to the other side.
