2010.03.15 - Plasti-Dip for Snap Vents
- Sprayed the snap vent with clear Plasti-Dip
The Plasti-Dip doesn't seem to build up a very thick layer, but it does provide the snap vent with much better grip so that it does not rattle around or pop out when the hvac fan is turned on. It appears to be very durable and initial indications are that the vent keeps out water relatively well but that it might still be a potential source for a minor leak. I will keep an eye on it for the next few days of rain and decide how best to proceed from there.
