I'll expand on this and say that either the giver of "interesting" thinks that yr stupid or that they themselves are really fucking stupid for lacking the gumption to come up with any other adjective.

"Gumption" is a horrendous word. So is "pithy". All I keep thinking about is "pithy quotes" as I do my exam.
