I really enjoyed Arrival. It's smart and it's got heart, and it lived up to my 'it's as if Uhura got to be the main character' excitement when I saw the trailer after hearing of the buzz. Would someone be willing to beta read a Push fanfic for me? It's a Nick/Cassie futurefic, just over 1,000 words. Ideally, I'm looking for someone who knows the fandom and is North American, but if you'd be willing to do it without, I could give you a precis of the plot, who the characters are and about their superpowers.

I won't mention what bit of pop culture inspired this, in case of spoiling anyone, but can you rec any stories (books or films especially) that deal with clones from a female perspective? Ideally, it's be a female character(s) written by women.

Spooks 6.01 ( spoilers )

I need someone to look over some ficlets (they're set in, variously, Swallows and Amazons, ER, Sky High, Harry Potter - post DH - and The O.C. fandoms), and when I say ficlets, I mean ficlets. If anyone could see their way to reading through some or all of them before I post, I would be delirious. All bar one are pretty canon compliant.

I didn't watch ER last night, because Big Brother bumped it to eleven and I was shattered. I'll catch it on Thursday - I watched a snippet of the trailer, which whet my appetite, but I want to watch the full ep when I'm in a state of wakefulness ( Read more... )

This is a greedy post. But I've had a real habit of saying that there should be fic of X,Y,Z, in my reviews recently. So, I thought I'd make a list of what I've talked about, because compiling such things makes me happy, and for anyone who might be interested. ( The list )

I'm still watching FNL, hearting Matt, slightly put off at montages of the game/practice and scenes that are overloaded with testosterone, but still watching. All I need to do is rember this slot, which leads strangely on to Party Animals. The fact that I missed it last week didn't seem to matter, ( spoilers )
