It figures that when I posted about the Strictly results on Monday morning, It Takes Two had some interesting stuff.
I missed Motsi playing the inflatable sax like a guitar, and then it turned out Craig tested positive for COVID, so let’s hope he’s not too ill. It might be a points bonanza for the couples and anyone getting all 10s will always wonder if Craig would have got that paddle out.
Instructive interview with Rose. She misunderstood that Rylan was talking about Anna, not Elsa, because of course she’s an Anna (who sings ‘Life is an Open Door’), she’s an actress. But also when she didn’t get the ‘prize’ and was disappointed (ooh, competitive!), Giovanni said in a throwaway way that she’d get the glitterball instead. He probably meant it lightheartedly, and I’m not sure she caught it, because she wasn’t looking at him to lipread, and I don’t know if she was following the interpreter either, but the hearing audience picked it up, and my immediate feeling was that he shouldn’t have said that, because it risks sounding arrogant. And I probabl want themto win, even though there are better Latin dancer, because they have transportational powers.
Also, I forgot to do this last week, but Dean Stockwell passed away, and having just finished watching him in BSG, I was touched. I first knew him from Quantum Leap - not that I watched it avidly, bt I saw a few episodes - and then several years later when I watched the The Thin Man sequels, there wee!Dean Stockwell was playing Nick and Nora’s kid. Having read his obit, that isn’t a anything like representative of his career.
