some thoughts
It's really striking in this fandom March madness support posters post that so many women are in it. Yay, fandom*! (Note to self: check f-list more regularly so that you can vote at every opportunity.)
Went to see John Carter (it LOOKS stupendous, but isn't all that good) and my strongest feelings after were that the universe simply isn't fair, because the next thing on James 'Scene Stealer' Purefoy's slate should be a Heyer adaptation.
*I like to think that this year's halfamoon was a victim of its own success, or of the cause it espouses, this year, because we're all more loudly and openly pro-awesome ladies. Granted, my experience of fandom isn't representative, but think of all the other -thons, big bangs and fests there have been over the last thirtreen months.
