It's my third ljversary! (1/3)

Feb 04, 2007 08:56

Three years ago, I wrote my very first post on my lj. Eek. And yay. So I thought I'd begin my celebrations (I hope to do three posts) by doing that meme that everyne else did over the new year - i.e. list all the first lines of the first post every month. Only I'm going to try to do it to the post on the fourth of the month (or nearest to it), to see what picture it gives of my posting habits over the year.

4/2/06 This time last year, I posted a list of links that I thought might help newbies to lj and fandom (some of which had helped me). Hmm, lists on my ljversary. Is that a tradition I see setting into stone?

4/3/06 Title: Adoption
Yay! Fic! This was back when I was still writing Dark Angel fanfiction. 'Adoption' is an Alec-centric missing scene from 'Bag Em'.

5/4/06 Spring has obviously sprung, because everyone seems to be holding ficathons, or if not, challenges.
And obviously, my post was about how I couldn't cope with them, but I was writing - and then I went on to do some TV reviews.

4/5/06 Hi! I'm still alive, just been busy and tired. Han't posted for two days before then. Can you imagine??? I then proceeded to waffle on about Calamity Jane.

4/6/06 With thanks to FridayAngel for beta reading all three More fic. Three character sketches - Home about Whitney (Smallville), What agents do about Jake (Jake 2.0) and Flawless about Mystique, which, as it turned out was the only X3 fic I finished and posted. When I came out of the cinema, I was bubbling over with enraged fix-its, but they never got completed.

5/7/06 I haven't posted for the past several days, because I haven't been able to - my Update and My LJ pages haven't been working properly. I remember this. I was really sulky about it because it hadn't been long after I'd updraded to a Paid Account.
The glitch resolved itself eventually.

4/8/06 I'm caught up with the flist (if you squint, which I choose to), which is good, as I'm away again after this afternoon and don't expect to have much internet access for the next week and a half. This originally had a typo, which I just fixed. Fact. More interestingly, this post was mostly about faith_dean.

4/9/06 'Ain't no magic mountain high enough' (2-13), the title's been cracking me up all day. Veronica Mars review - that's a show that got under my skin and stayed there.

4/10/06 5.04 I was having fairly reasonable responses 'till about 9.59 pm last night and then there was the trailer and flailing and if the Beeb put the next episode of Spooks on straight after (I suppose Spooks viewers are expected to watch the news, which is always a weird shift from fiction to fact) I'd have HAD to watch it. And this is about a 'ship that got under my skin (Harry/Ruth) and a prime example of my love of brackets.

3/11/06 So, Thursday loses a big part of what made it my TV night. This was my response to the Veronica Mars season 2 finale, entitled 'Well, ain't that a kick in the kidneys?'.

4/11/06 savage_midnight, I had a dream about Alias, you'll be pleased to hear. This is me, trying to get my Syd/Sark story into gear (I have hopes of posting the Sky High story I said I'd write around then too soon). There were two posts on this day, the other was an overall response to Veronica Mars season 2.

4/1/07 I went to the cinema to see It's A Boy Girl Thing (what?) last night. Heh. Me and my love for trashy high school movies. There's also a poll about Blood and Chocolate, which is out next week. Three posts today, one filtered and one trying to make sense of Alias, having seen the final series.

Hmm, that isn't a bad snapshot of what's been going on with me over the last year of posting, actually.
