Heading for the suny side of the streety.

Sorry, I haven't read my flist due to answering responses to the poll, and will be unable to catch up with anything now until Tuesday, probably, because I am going away for a break, which will be nice. Watched The Avengers last night, which was fun and kitsch and surreal, also bits of Out of Practice, which had some Benjy-electronics jokes that reminded me of Jake. (I was feeling nostalgic because Mac reminded me of Diane.) I was going to go what was with the title, but then remembered it was the call of the pirate radio station (ha! I got the PUtV reference in before Veronica). I only remember because on the computer screen itsaid 'Matey's'.

1. Weevil turned up to earn his credited status. 2. He has started thinking. 3. Slowly. 3b. Okay, that is unfair, the thought processes of a gang leader may not be mine.

He and Logan should so be put in the naughty step. And. well, not going to say anything about the right to bear arms, just that my reaction to Logan pulling the gun was the same as Veronica's. And I liked how that whole scene played out dramatically and in terms of their reactions (Bell and Dohring are such good actors.) And now the Fighting Fitzpatricks are definitely involved. But Logan! Weevil! Guns is not the answer, duhs!

Loved Mac as 'Q' to Veronica's Bond - her presence does help with the criticism of misogyny. a little.

Seeing into Duncan's subconscious is interesting, but he's still weird to me, although those very distilled images of Vernoica and Meg are as disturbing as anything else I've seen about him. I think I've been spoiled for the contents of the letter. And as if Mr Bust into her hard drive wasn't going to read it.

Lots of cleverness abounded, and genuine peril for the characters. a few too many shots of Keith looking pensive, and I still feel that some threads are picked up at bizarre times, but good ep. And I'm sure there were lots of other things I wanted to say, but I'm in a hurry. Normally, I let my VM reactions stew over a day, because there are so many cool details, some of which only occur to me the day after. such a good show. I may well have to miss a lot of eps this August, which is a shame.
