And that's the last time I'll type that film title out in full, probably.

First, yesterday's Guide was had a Neela/Ray mention when reccing Monday's ER double bill on Channel 4, and furthermore, Channel 4 has a programme looking up the original A-team on at Thursday. The latter's a must see (sorry, Bones), the former is a tempter ( Read more... )

Too true about the randomness of trailers. What gets me is that, in their desire to have all the Really Cool Bits in a little mini movie, a lot of the big studio pictures' trailers will give away, oh, the final climactic scenes of a movie. Like you say, sometimes the trailer seems like it's completely removed from a movie. And yet, I do get excited when the trailers come on. And some trailers are just wonderful in and of themselves. although I never went to see the film, I thought that the use of music in the trailer for Breakfast on Pluto - a Dusty Springfield song, was really memorable.

I think that the return of Jean as Pheonix was pretty well nigh inevitable. Obviously, Wolverine is the hottest, but Scott has grown on me a lot over the years. Pretty James Marsden.

And then that bit! I was all "wheeee, Wolverine/Rogue, wheeee!!!". This was, after all, my first contact with fanfiction, so it's a love that'll never die. I KNOW. The strength of my reaction surprised me - and reminded me that I'm probably going to go back to the obsession:)

Well, I didn't entirely buy into Iceman/Pyro/Rogue, partly because I was overlying the Wolverine/Rogue interpretation, partly because it didn't have all that much development, but the Pyro-Iceman relationship was interesting, and as they'd set Pyro up as a baddie now, I had hoped to have Bobby and Marie face up to that and to him. But no, it looks like a retread of the last film for them - teen angst and proving they're mature enough for this.

I'm a little worried about ships appearing on screen out of nowhere in terms of the past films. (She says, when she knows that Scott/Rogue is based on a whole lot of fanon.)

Two sequels to worry about. :) Heh, shouldn't that be 'look forward to?'
