If you cut through the shortcut ahead of Goldenrod, I believe it should take you about a month to return to Violet. However, you will require someone that has beaten the gym there to assist you.

Travelling upon a Pokemon may help reduce the number of days.

Please do be careful. The level of the Pokemon in that area is much higher than the ones on the route to Violet.
