Interviewed by funkyturtle:
1. Where were you born, where do you live, and where have you been?
I was born in northern India a place called Shimla. Presently Hyderabad, central india is my home. I have lived in quite a few states in India and a year in Nepal, the neihbhoring country where my grandparents migrated from.
2. Do you have a favorite poet/author/songwriter and, if so, how has their work impacted you?
I haven't read much of poems though I admire poetry. I don't have one but several favorite authors. John C. Maxwell comes first, for his amazing books and seminars on leadership and then Sydney Sheldon for creating great novel characters and telling the story in picture words and last but not least Paulo Coelho for combining religions and supreme power to tell some complex truths of life. I think JOhn C. Maxwell has greater influence and contribution to who I am.
3. Tell me about the saddest moment in your life.
I am cancerian and tend to remember things that appeal to me emotionally. I remember this one time when I was about 7 year old, I went to a friend's place for overnight. In the middle of the supper her parents broke in argument resulting into major violence. I saw my friend and her siblings sobbing in a corner and I still holding my dinner plate. The giant and furious man was hitting the tiny fragile woman to death, I thought he is going to kill her and kill all of us. I rushed my life out of the house, came under a tree and looked up to the bright shinning moon, praying "Chanda mama" meaning "uncle moon" please ask my parents to come and rescue me and my friends. Please uncle moon, please. I remember how sad and scared I was but I don't remember what happened after I prayed.
4. What do you value and look for in a friendship?
In a friendship I think it is important to uplift one another and impact/sharpen each other for the betterment. Without 'give and take' friendship dies. I don't hold on to dead relationships.
5. I shall recycle my previous psychological/shamanistic question because I like the answers I get to it: What animal do you most identify with and/or would you become if you had a choice. What is it about that animal that is most appropriate to you, and why?
I think I identify with dog, to their loyalty, protective and loving nature. If I have a choice to live again, I want human life :) Animals have every emotion and feelings that of human kind. I have seen my pet dog cry in tears, having fun hopping and running around, enjoying the attention and touch, making love et al. Best thing is that they are not accountable for what they do with their life.
