Drabbles
I'm not officially in fanfic100 but I liked some of their prompts so here are a couple drabbles based on prompts 005 and 006 - "insides" and "outsides."
Title: When Jack Strikes… Parts 1&2

Author's Notes: How Sam feels when Jack strikes.
005. On the inside, Sam screams. It is a scream of revulsion, disgust, fear, pain, anger, frustration… guilt. A million thoughts cross her mind in one fleeting second but mostly she wonders why. Why did Jack focus on her? Why did he choose her? When Jack strikes, it leaves her feeling unbalanced, and she reels, her insides quivering.
006. On the outside, Sam remains composed. Sometimes Bailey or John might notice a tremor in her voice. George sees Sam’s eyes turn a bit more moist than usual and Grace sees the walls go up. Mostly, Sam is able to hide these things; she has become a professional at showing a brave face to the world. But the one thing she can’t hide is when her shoulders slump ever so slightly as if hearing about Jack’s latest kill was a punch in the chest that left her breathless.
