Just a little something that'd been rolling around in my head since I finished the game. Major spoilers, but not MAJOR OMG spoilers unless you know what you're looking for.
Also, I assumed a lot of the characterization stuff that I wrote. So if I'm wrong about a few things, that's probably why.
There's also a little bit of playing with what Layton may have been like in his mid twenties, before he became so... guarded, I guess, is the word I want to use.
