30 Days of FE, Day 21: Which country would you live in?
In order to make this question slightly more interesting, I'm going to answer it for all of the verses I'm familiar with - meaning everything except Archanea. Just because.
Jugdral: out of all the nations here, I'd say Isaac felt the most memorable to me. Perhaps it's because all of the playable Isaacian characters are ridiculously awesome, or perhaps it's just that they all have rather similar character designs (then again, they're all from the same family, so it's not that odd). On the other hand, I'm not entirely sure if I'd like to actually live there - most of the Isaacian characters strike me as rather patriotic warriors, for one, and I'm pretty far removed from both of those things. So, eh, probably not.
Silesia might be a better option. I like cold places. And the royal family of Silesia seemed very kind, to me? Also Levin was actually one of the more interesting characters, and, well, I guess Silesia is just the country that reminds me the most of Sweden. Admittedly, that's mostly because of the snow, though.
Elibe: I think living in Ostia would make me feel pretty safe, be it with Uther or Hector as the ruler, and I like plenty of the Ostian characters too. On the other hand, Ilia is also up for consideration, because... you know. Snow. I like cold places. So uh, I guess I can't really choose?
Magvel: While most of my favorite characters are from Jehanna, living in a desert is pretty much out of the question for me.
My own, completely baseless headcanon usually paints Rausten as a sort of fantasy!France (yeah okay this is pretty much only because I think L'Arachel sounds french and clearly Mount Mimir would equal Mount Blanc), which actually makes it seem like a very interesting place to live, but on the other hand... it's a theocracy, and I'm not a very religious person. But Mansel seems like a nice ruler, at least? So, um, why not? Rausten it is.
Tellius: most definitely Crimea, not only because I love so many Crimean characters (assuming the GMs count as Crimean even though some of them aren't lol), but also because Elincia is an excellent queen. Actually, one of the main reasons I chose Crimea was the line about how it was known for its scholarship; the same line mentions that Daein is known for its military strength, and taking that and its hatred of laguz into consideration, I doubt I'd enjoy living there. In spite of all the pretty snow! It's a shame.
But yeah, Crimea is my pick - it's a very peaceful country, and assuming I lived in Tellius, I'd obviously be more of a scholarly kind of person than anything else.
Overall... Rausten is the only one I have any kind of headcanon for, so I guess I'll go with that. Or maybe Crimea. Lol I just can't choose
