Sorry, Secret Diary, but there's just no way you could ever really compete. Rusty's Doctor Who is... god. It's my favorite TV show, ever. I was just... I was just staring at the logo, and thinking "oh yeah; that's a show I watch now." Like. I can remember a time before I loved, before I'd seen, before I'd even heard of Doctor Who. I remember my old misconceptions and half-formed theories about what kind of a show it was. And now, having seen it, it's nothing like I imagined and everything I didn't know I wanted and it's funny, I think, how sometimes you can love something so much and so hard that you kind of forget WHY you love it? Doctor Who is the first huge fandom I've had in years, and it's so easy to think of it in terms of fanfic and livejournal and how amazing, for example, Billie Piper is. But it's so much more than that. This is the show that put "that's so human" in my vocabulary bank of endearments. It... it... god, I can't even articulate it. Can we have a Doctor Who appreciation party in the comments? Like. No gifs. No capslock. Just some honest, down-to-earth appreciation of the wonder that is this show. I'd like to hear your stories. I don't know. It just hits me, sometimes, WHY I dedicate so much of my time to this fandom. And that's fantastic.
