(Picture based) Drabble #5

Apr 12, 2011 01:44

[ooc; this is another one of those drabble ideas that kind of just came to me. it's not really a picture prompted one, but there are pictures in it, so I think it still counts! also, photobucket is being a jerk right now and not working so i couldn't really make it a picture prompt if i tried. :( as always leif isn't mine but i'd totally kidnap him in a minute but there is love and rainbows and unicorns and cake and other things being sent his way for existing and letting me pretend like i know how to write him. also i guess jerry belongs to me? idk, he's a weirdo. he can belong to the internet or something. oh, also, i totally envisioned that adler is in leif's phone as "saddler" but really, what else would he be in there under? okay, this is long enough. enjoy!!!]

"Adler, I am running late already...." Leif argued, or at least tried to argue as Adler pulled him in for one more kiss. Leif was supposed to have left for work at least ten minutes ago and yet Adler still held him back. He would have walked him to work, or took a ride in the taxi with him but they soon learned that by doing that, Leif usually ended up being even later.

"Okay, sorry. Go. Have fun without me." Adler smiled against Leif's lips, knowing full well that the Dane would have no fun while he was gone. He pressed one more kiss to Leif's lips and then took a step back, literally holding himself back from latching onto Leif again. He stared at his housemate, looking professional in his work uniform, a big difference compared to the pajama pants and loose jacket Adler was wearing. He gave a bit of a sad smile, "See ya later, alligator."

"In a whiling, crocodiles." Leif countered, smiling morosely himself before slipping out the door. He was barely down the whole length of the drive before his cell phone twinkled with the first text message Adler sent.

Saddler [11:55] : i can still taste your lips on mine.
Saddler [11:57] : you taste like strawberries.

Saddler [12:12] : there's a new construction worker. his name is jerry.
Saddler [12:15] : he is freakishly tall with small feet and a tattoo of a gypsy on his hand.
Saddler [12:17] : he just called me Alfred?

Saddler [12:50] : i got the workers lunch. they messed up jerry's order. karma!

Saddler [1:34] : [ PIC MESSAGE] i organized the alcohol cabinet. we have too much booze. maybe we should get rid of some?

Saddler [1:50] : Freja chewed on the handle of one of the workers screw driver...guess who?
Saddler [1:51] : yup. jerry.

Saddler [1:55] : she also ate three bolts. a piece of sandpaper and a piece of flooring.
Saddler [2:03] : i think she is building something in her stomach.
Saddler [2:15] : maybe it's a coffee table.
Saddler [2:30] : [ PIC MESSAGE] or a new couch cause she ate more of the ugly one.

Saddler [3:30] : i found a hat in my room.
Saddler [3:45] : it is red.
Saddler [3:50] : [ PIC MESSAGE] thoughts?

Saddler [4:30] : Freja just unplugged my guitar.
Saddler [4:35] : i was playing a new song for her and she just unplugged it.

Saddler [4:45] : i wrote a new song for you.

Saddler [4:50] : you're small and fun and skinny, you're really really pretty.
Saddler [4:51] : Lea-ves.
Saddler [4:53] : i'm the mickey to your minnie, you're the tigger to my winnie
Saddler [4:55] : Lea-ves.
Saddler [4:57] : wanna take you out to dinney and you won't pay a penny
Saddler [4:58] : Lea-ves.
Saddler [5:00] : you're cuter than a guinea pig, i wanna take you up to winnipeg.
Saddler [5:01] : that's in canada!
Saddler [5:03] : Leaves leaves leaves leaves.
Saddler [5:05] : it sounds better in person.

Saddler [6:50] : [ PIC MESSAGE] i miss you.

Saddler [7:15] : the construction workers left for the day. jerry looked pissed.
Saddler [7:17] : he called me Aiden?

Saddler [7:30] : [ PIC MESSAGE] made us dessert!

Saddler [7:50] : heading over to pick you up.

Saddler [8:05] : i see you. :)

Some would get quickly annoyed by Adler's text messages, others would have turned off their phone's long ago and maybe a few would even change their number but instead Leif ran up to the curly-haired goof ball who stood in front of him, jumped into his arms and held him tightly exclaiming that he "felt him there with him all day."

Adler smiled and kissed every bit of Leif he could reach and thought to himself how lucky he was to have found someone that not only put up with his annoying, clingy behavior, but also enjoyed it.

This was definitely someone worth holding onto.

who; leif, what; drabbles
