iPods

They're thinking about banning iPods completely from the classes/school. Why? Because one of the many idiots that reside within our world decided to not only put porn on his iPod, but to watch it during class as well. So, there's talk that either iPods will be banned entirely from the schools or from classes. There have been many other variations, ( Read more... )

Yeah, I like to listen to my music when I'm working - especially in computers. I find it helps me concentrate. And, like you, I type/write to the rhythm (there you go XD), as most people have noticed. I just like having it... But since they're banning music from the classes (just like the banned cellphones - though that didn't work so well) it doesn't matter. *Sigh* I don't think I'll find another decent use for it now, unless we go on road trips.

Yes, we get to type. But, we also have the library and like... six computer labs so it's not a terrible issue. But I prefer to write my essays out by hand because it just seems to work better for me - that's why I write out all of my stories and whatnot. I envy you for having three essays to do in three hours XP If I could spend an hour on each of mine I'd be peachy. But since I can't... Well... I fear that even being able to type I won't finish in time.

Nah, it's a provincial exam, I think. And we don't write our AP exam till the end of June this year, during exam week. Last year we wrote it a week before exam week, and it was during class time so...

No, we don't get an hour each. Two hours for three, so I guess that's forty minutes. I WISH I had an hour. I tend to be absurdly longwinded, which only works if you have an infinite amount of time to write and edit, which you don't. The people who put out the test recommend using a couple minutes to "work the prompt" (which always calls to mind exercising for me. Work it ! Work it !), then ten for annotating and making notes and making plans, and five minutes for checking at the end, which only leaves about twenty-odd minutes for writing the darned thing.

Therein lies the difference. I don't plan whatsoever for anything. And if I absolutely have to plan, I do it after my essays are written. I write them all in order of which are appealing (or the order in which I get them), and then I edit them as best as I can, and then if I had to plan, I do it then and right down whatever comes to mind, including what was on my essay. >.> If I followed the test's instructions I'd never finish.
