(no subject)
Hey everyone out there in cyberland.
I'm in New York. I know, pretty spiffy. We brought our laptop to my surprise, so I'm able to be online in our hotel room. It's not so bad here. The hotel room is the basic layout: two queen beds and a bathroom. Same thing we had at IRI, for you ThunderChickens. What really sucks is trying to use AIM. For some reason, I can't see messages from some people, namely, Jennifer's. Which really sucks, cuz I miss her so much and really want to talk to her. Oh well. I think I'll live.
The actual reason I'm in New York is simple: college campus visit. Today was the day. We went off to Cornell University's campus. About an hour drive away from our hotel. The campus is beautiful, but we could figure that one out from their website pictures. We went on this little tour. A to-be senior led us around and told us about some of the history, campus life, classes, and so on. The basics. And while I know Cornell is a very good college, there was nothing too outstanding. Honestly, I'm looking more heavily at MSU than I am here, at least for undergrad studies. A bit more appealing, and still in-state. I'll still apply, but I won't stress out about it as much.
Tomorrow we're leaving here to go to Niagra Falls. I don't know which side we're staying on. I hope it's the US side. Fucking Canadians. We'll stay the night and make our way back home Thursday.
I hope Cassie will make it through sectionals tomorrow without me there to clap for them. Maybe now she'll clap. She might have to. Haha.
So apparently seniors have to go in at noon to band camp on Monday. Well screw that. What's he thinking now? What's he going to have us do, march with our little ones? Come on. How retarded. Meh.
