Allen was used to Kanda making small annoyed noises instead of making conversation, especially when the samurai was pissed off. Sometimes for no good reason, but Allen would like to keep his head rather than voice than thought aloud.

Allen was a little surprised when he saw Kanda's grip tighten on his sword at the mention of the 14th Noah. So. He wasn't pleased about it. The young exorcist wondered if he should've even brought it up and maybe kept it more low, saying Komui had held him back for tea or something ridiculous. But that probably would've made Kanda even more pissed off, one because the reasons were ridiculous and two, if he had enough intuition, that he was lying.

Kanda didn't like liars.

Allen followed Kanda through the gate, pausing briefly to glance back and notice Komui had come to see them off. He was smiling faintly and he was flicking Allen a small salute for good luck. The silver-haired boy managed to return that smile before the gate obscured his vision of the Supervisor and everyone else that had been in the room. Allen turned to face straight ahead and looked around the inside of the Ark. Despite that he could control it, despite that he'd been in the place many times up to this point, he couldn't get rid of that creeping dread that seemed to hide in the shadows of the Ark, slinking up behind him when he least expected it and resting on his shoulders like an invisible cloak.

Allen hated it.

He said little to nothing - barely even smiled - as he followed Kanda through another door, leading them to touch down not far from Mumbai. Allen eyed the city from their distance and thought for a brief moment how beautiful it looked. And yet... Allen's eyes softened. He had been here before.

Back in his training, he had visited India with Master Cross and met Nalei, his one childhood friend, who had been turned into an Akuma due to the death of his older sister. Allen still missed Nalei dearly, but thanks to Cross, he had hardened his heart to that pain. He would never call back Nalei, but he would remember him.

Shaking off the memories, Allen looked back at the city, as if pretending he hadn't seen it before. "It's beautiful here."

The Level Two Akuma felt so close to reaching Level Three, it did not know how long it would take, but it didn't matter much; seeing as how the dark skinned children of the area ran around willy nilly without so much as an older companion. All the Akuma had to do was sit in one place, waiting for one or two of the little brats to wander aimlessly by.

It sat in an ally, surrounded by various carts without their vendors, "Wonder where they went" the Akuma whispered to no one in particular, licked his upper teeth and chuckled rather jubulously to himself. The Akuma wore a dark hooded cloak, and the sign in front of it read "Fortunes". It sounded like a good idea at first, but it seems that hardly any human was interested in such a thing, either that or they were much too busy with their daily meaningless schedule; which explained the lack of parental supervision for all of the children it had killed.

If the Akuma stayed here much longer, it was going to die of boredom...if such a thing was possible for the technicaly undead...Children were much too easy to kill.

Its nose picked up a scent...brick, cedar, yellowing pages, and a hint of pine. "Mix them all together and what do you get?" The Akuma said quietly. "Exorcists." it snickered.

"Looks like the Earl was right about two things, the presence of Innocence, and the pestelance of Exorcists..." The Akuma thought to itself.

"Things are about to get interesting..." It whispered as it licked the last child's blood off of it's sharp forefinger.

Thankfully, the other exorcist was quiet on the short walk through the Ark. Even though this was slightly unusual, Kanda didn't try to find out why.

They arrived a small distance from their destination. Kanda could see the city's elaborate buildings and the simple houses of the regular civilians. The file stated that they would be staying at some inn in the civilian area. Kanda had a suspicion this might be because of the Order's lack of fundings. He didn't particularly care though. Kanda probably wasn't going to be staying in his room very much anyway. Remembering the second mission file in his hand, Kanda thrust it in the other exorcist's direction, waiting impatiently for him to take it.

A group of Finders was at the other side of the Gate, waiting for them. They would be the ones to ensure no one passed through that entrance in the few minutes it would remain open after they arrived.

One of the Finders greeted them, introducing himself as Amish. He looked to be a native. He told them that he would be guiding them to the place they would be staying at since he would be acting as translator.

Kanda nodded and followed wordlessly, wanting to get to the inn quickly so he could ditch all the annoying people with the excuse of going patrol and finding information.

The three figures made their way down the street, receiving more than one look of surprise and curiosity as they went along. Kanda ignored them. The streets were beginning to fill with carts, no doubt for merchants who were getting ready for the midafternoon market. Children ran freely amidst the increasing throng of people.

They passed an empty alley. Kanda glanced down it briefly before looking back forward. There was only a crouching figure wrapped in a cloak sitting behind a crude sign bearing characters he couldn't read. They looked like the symbol Kanda bore on his chest.

(OOC: This is an awesome log so far, gaiz~ 'Amish' means 'honest.' Once again, found randomly out of a list of Indian names. >__> On a side note: Guess what the name 'Ankur' means? 'Sprout'! xD Another note, I have no idea what characters they use in India, but these names are in Sanskrit, so I'm pretending the language and writing is Sanskrit too. xD;; )
