Yep. My lease was up at the end of September, and since I still didn't have a job, the timing was right. Was planning on going to Grandmother's on Oct 1st, but I still had so much to do that I stayed on an extra day (not going to lie, it didn't hurt that the neighbor looked at me and said "I want you to stay" the night before I was supposed to leave.) So I got to TN in one piece, saw some of my family, and drove down on the 4th with my mother. That was not so fun between all the stuff I had to leave behind to accommodate my mother's luggage and her compulsion for dragging her feet before traveling anywhere (we didn't get home until 3 am and I had a job interview 12 hours later).
But the good news was that I had a job interview. It was at a property law firm. Never pictured myself working with property law, even over the summer when Dr. Born told me I should really think about studying law, property would not have been my first choice. But this opportunity really came to me more than anything and I've gotten some very positive feedback since applying. I've also heard that they were impressed with me at the interview, so I can't help but be a little hopeful. I'll hear back at the end of the week. But just incase it doesn't pan out, I've applied at a Starbucks (mostly for the benefits they offer) and got an application to sub at AHN.
My diploma came in the mail on Saturday! So now I officially have a masters!
There's more I could say, but it's also about my family and so it's kind of a downer, and I'd like to end this on a happy note.
