Still don't feel too great from being sick last week. I was snoozing on the couch at like 3pm when Dad was getting ready to leave for work only to have him come in bitching because his truck isn't starting and he needs to leave for work. Got up and went to put on boots when the phone rang. My uncle called to tell Dad that my uncle's ex-wife had died. None of us liked her at all but my uncle and cousins are sad so we feel bad for them. Me personally, I hated her. But still like Dad said earlier she's still a human being. We should still be sad and try to help them through everything as much as we can help....
Drove the 45 minutes or so to take Dad to work. Truck!Dean was a complete iceberg the whole drive over. Could only see out of part of the windshield and a little spot in the driver's side window. I hate not having time to get all the ice off right.
Got there and left the truck running and locked up the thaw out the ice.
Scraped some ice, got cold went inside the machine shop Dad works at to warm up...
Got gas money from Daddy. Dad gave me a couple quarters too, to get a can of pop while I warmed up. YAY I got to have a Sprite!
Went back outside to finish getting more of the ice off the windows of the truck.
Realized the little door over the gas cap is frozen shut and won't open. Can't go get gas to get home with it frozen shut. Ran back inside and told Dad. Got a couple tools and went back outside to pop it open while he was working on the machine...
Returned the tools and said bye to Dad and the other guys there.
Called mom to make sure I had simple directions and could get back home from Dad's work.
Stopped at the gas station and almost filled the tank with the money dad gave me. Got a coffee and a bag of cheetos too.
Stopped at Mom's work and helped her with some Christmas present wrapping for at her parents house on Thursday. Tool stuff out to her SUV on the way out of the buliding.
Went to the Dollar Store on the way home. Got prezzies for Mom, Dad, and Acathla on my teeny tiny limited budget. Even though I'd been told not to spend money on presents for them. What? I can't not give them something!
Stopped at the grocery store and got a TV Guide. Saw the same nice lady running the register that we saw on last Thursday when we got grocery while I was sick. Chatted a bit with her.
Came home at about 7:30pm. Hide Acathla's prezzies and showed her the ones for Mom and Dad.
Ate a couple mini pizzas. Talked to spikess for awhile. Dug through some CD binders looking for my Grinch soundtrack. Didn't find it. Re-organized the CD binders a bit. got online for about and hour. Feed my neopet, went to Advant calender... Checked around emails and LJ a bit.
Left to go help Mom again at her school then went and picked up Dad right after that.
Got home for the night at about 1:15am (ish)... Played "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" for Dad, who'd mentioned not hearing it yet this year. *Thanks killerweasel for this song and the other awesome Christmas song downloads!*
Lots seems to be going on here on LJ tonight maybe I'll get online in the morning and talk about those. I'm awfully hungry and getting really really sleepy.
And in case I'm not back online til after Christmas...
