A really good night at gally
So, it was pretty much my first REAL weekend at Gally and I was excited to play with Jenne all weekend.
On Saturday we went to Bowie and Jenne showed me the Town Center and then we went to Wal-mart. I had so much crap I needed to get that I hadn't gotten since I got here. Including a pillow, THANK GOD! So, that was an experience. The Wal-mart's on the east coast are fricken TINY!!! You could fit two of theirs into just one from Iowa. When we finished we went to Chic-fil-a...THE STORE! I can't believe they have actual restaurants for chic-fil-a only. That's pretty much the coolest thing ever.
Then last night we got together with Angela, Steph, Josh, Mario, Delphino, Tony, Laurie, Jill, JennD, and others I'm sure, at the suite to meet Angela's friend from camp, Russell. He goes to GW here in DC and he is just learning sign language. We had a great time playing card games...drinking games...and as soon as I started, I was out. It doesn't take much for me to get tired and sleepy. I really only drank 2 drinks. But Russell made one of them and there was more vodka in that than I was definitely used to.
We made Laurie hump the floor, which is pretty common for her. We played asshole and I was the president both times. Definitely beginners luck. That means I can never play again because it's surely not going to last.
All in all, it was a fun night. I think Mario left to go back to Colorado today. I hope not 'cause we didn't get to say goodbye. I think he's coming back in a few weeks anyways. So, we'll see him real soon.
My internet is still not hooked up. Gally moves at snail speed I swear. Hopefully this week, but I'm not holding my breath. Talk about a ghetto dorm. While trying to plug in a lamp today in my room I electrocuted my finger. Nothing like some faulty wiring to brighten your day.
Two weeks down...14 to go...=) Enjoying it so far....
