He doesn’t look the same today. What’s wrong with him? There’s something different about his face. I have the feeling I’m not going to like it.
He’s always been so kind to me. Not like the others who I see in the tunnel. They’re always trying to kick me or chase me away. This new person is different and is always leaving treats behind for me.
Today is different. He’s walking very slowly towards me and with a purpose. Why isn’t he reaching into his pocket?
“Sorry friend. Your sacrifice will save my brother’s life.” He says picking me up.
