Winter break
I've had a damn fine winter break so I cannot complain. Minus being sick for the first half and now I'm once again sick--- it was good and I did get some relaxing in and I got some work time too so I have some cash that will be coming in and going directly to my bills. I am determined to have Macys, Express & Victoria Secret paid off in the next 3 months. Express is the first one to be tackled. I got to see Amy briefly over break, early in the morning before work at Starbucks. Thanks for the flowers Amz. They are so pretty. I also got to go to Disneyland with Brian. That was so great. It was such a perfect, wonderful day. And Christmas was good- I went to Vegas for a few days with my parents. I got some pretty awesome gifts from everyone - especially Brian. I was not expecting a diamond tennis bracelet at all... on top of the music history book & the James Dean box set. It's gorgeous and Brian is awesome. I still can't believe it.
On New Year this year, I actually got my first New Year's kiss. <3
Of course, I wish I had more time to do fun stuff but I'm mostly working this week and trying to get better before school starts. I'm working Tuesday through Saturday. I have to close 3 days in a row. I guess I shouldn't complain though seeing how many days Joey has to close in a row. Money is money. I finally got my raise, too. So hopefully managing my finances will be a little bit easier.
Ugh, I hate being sick. I just took some medicine so after I wrap this up I'm going to brush my teeth and get ready for sleep. I've been reading Clockwork Orange before sleeping each night. Such a good book- trippy as hell but good. Since I've been reading it before clonking out each night, I'm not too far along but I should hopefully finish before school. And then I think I'll read either Grapes of Wrath or The Beautiful and Damned. It's suppose to be vacation but --- doesn't seem like I've just been kick back.
I had an interesting night clubbing on Friday. I probably shouldn't have stayed out so late, I probably wouldn't be sick right now. But oh well- whats done is done so I must just deal with it and try to get better now. Can't wait until Spring break although I'm looking forward to this quarter... one more quarter closer to graduation. :)
