It was the small things which led to their sturdy bond. The tribulations they went through were no laughing matters. Times and times when Kibum decided to give up on their relationship just because Jinki wasn't strong enough for temptations and he was just that bratty bitch Jinki said he was. He couldn't change it. It wasn't his fault. ..Right? Definitely. He gave up riches just to be with Jinki, a nobody. Kibum laughed back at the memory of which he had once accused Jinki of cheating on him, with that new employee in his father's company. What was his name again? ...It was Ji-something...

Ah, Jino.

Jino wasn't bad looking. In fact, he was pretty cute. Kibum let out a small cry when he remembered how Jinki spat disgustingly at his paranoia, saying Kibum wake the fuck up from your bratty behaviour. He giggled at the point when he recalled how he had gotten tensed when he picked up the scent of the familiarly unfamiliar distinct fragrance of Ralph Lauren's Romance on Jinki that was around that thin slut bitch BITCH. Hell broke lose. Kibum went back to the company and demanded that /Daddy fire him!/ or he'll jump down from the highest floor of the building and haunt the company for life. Kibum went home to find Jinki smiling and preparing dinner for the both of them. He smiled that gorgeous teeth-showing smile of his, and quietly stomped into the room. Determined to find evidence of their subdued affair, he locked himself in and started searching. Kibum knew he was in absolute trouble when he found the bottle of fragrance with the tiny note 'Happy 5th monthversary♥Kibummie'.

Kibum chuckled at the other time when Jinki hadn't reply to his second text, and he made a big commotion over it. He made his father call Jinki's company and told his director to convey the message. It was awkward when someone in their prime had to tell Jinki 'I miss you. Reply me honeypuff.' and Jinki was sure he wasn't the only one cringing. Kibum came home to a huffing Jinki, and he cried his way out of the problem. There was no way Jinki could ever stand a crying Kibum.

Jinki came back to see Kibum smiling to himself. "Hey baby," he kissed Kibum ever so gently on his left eyelid "missed you at work. I've got some good news. Tell you over dinner, get dressed.".

Kibum turned to Jinki, and laughed, before turning back to his screen and continued with his typing.

"So, my lady?" Kibum sighed, and closed his obnoxious macbook.

Strolling towards Jinki, he interlaced their fingers, and leaned towards him, whispering a soft "Café, pleaseeeee.".

Jinki raised a brow, and pecked Kibum's lips. Both of them walked to the oh so familiar cosy café and sat at their favorite spot. It wasn't far from the counter, but it was furthest from the other couples who came in here to seek warmth. The same waitress came over to take their orders, and left with a simple note in her very plain notepad table 56. Gorgeous couple, the usual. Kibum fiddled with the dents on the table, pressing his thumb against the tiny holes, and rubbing circles over them. He chuckled, again.

"Alright, speak up Cinderella." Jinki spoke.

"What?" Kibum looked up, and softly nodded his head with a slight raised brow.

"You're laughing. " Jinki leaned forward.

"It's a natural reflex." Kibum readjusted his seating, and leaned forward, too.

"You're smiling to yourself. Are you having an affair?" Jinki pouted.

"Why, yes I am! Oh, genius!" Kibum threw his hands up melodramatically.

"On the contrary, I'm not so much of a genius according to what you say."

"You're the biggest idiot I've ever met." Kibum scrunched his face, and smiled.

"Really? Though this biggest idiot has just been promoted to the executive manager of his company because he has just found out the biggest embezzlement fraud, thus leading to the loss of their current executive manager." Jinki laid back in his seat, and casually looked around.

Jinki heard Kibum give out a long and weary sigh, before adding on.

"Oh, and I've told Daddy about that. He says he's glad and can finally stop worrying about his baby daughter. So. Gender crisis here?" Jinki looked at a lip-biting Kibum.

Kibum threw a paper towel at Jinki, who didn't even bother to dodge.

"Ouch." Jinki said monotonously.

"No, look at it, you idiot." Kibum rolled his, and smiled at the waitress who brought their order.

I love you

It was in a disgusting shade of brown. Jinki looked at Kibum.

"Oh shut up. It was all I could find." Kibum took hold of the grounded cinnamon and the cup of water.

Jinki laughed. Kibum's voice rang in his ears. He remembered the days when life was stressing for the both of them. Jinki didn't earn much, Kibum's father owned a listed mnc. Mr Kim was all against their relationship. He didn't care if his son was gay or something, but dating someone that different from him? Kibum's monthly spending was what Jinki earned annually, plus minus. If they were to date, his poor poor Kibum would have to cut down his expenses. Kibum left home and ran away to stay with Jinki when his father just wouldn't allow them to be together. They visited places, especially that escapade into the quiet life of the suburbs. It was that place where it marked Kibum showing his love for Jinki. Jinki could still feel that thrill pumping in his veins. The intensity of heat radiating from Kibum, and how they were risking it all if they were to be caught doing such a sacred ritual at such a place. Jinki could still remember the adrenaline rushing through his body when he found the whole stack of irrelevant and un-matching data sets showing the difference in earnings and spendings of the company. He could still smell that stinky old fart trying to bribe his ass with infinite money just for him to shut the hell up and pretend he didn't see anything or Jinki will go down together with him. Jinki hesitated. Infinite money? Man, Kibum would lead a better life than how he is. Stand by your principles. I love them. He could hear the resounding voice of Kibum telling him how he was right to report. Jinki trusted Kibum, so what if he were to lose his job? Kibum will understand... Right? Self-assured. Jinki walked away, and immediately went to the upper management to report, bringing him to where he is now.

Grabbing another paper towel, Jinki took the small sachets of ketchup and tore a small hole out of it.

"I love you," Jinki said, and pushed the disgustingly red piece of gooey paper towards Kibum.
