Harri pulled up to the house in her Audi, and threw a smirk at Aiden as she pulled her coat on. She hadn't returned his call because she was determined to make it to Princeton. She had shifted Heaven and Earth to get here, bailing on about five meetings and promising to make it up with interest. She'd also let Marc know that she was going to be out of the City for some quality BFF time, and thankfully he hadn't minded. Probably worried he was going to be asked to come along.

She didn't want him here, she just wanted to be with Aiden. She'd missed him so much it had hurt, and when she started to walk up his drive, her smirk morphed into a grin. "Hey you."

Aiden's face broke into a grin and he climbed down off the front of his car, leaving his coffee sitting there, forgotten. He went over to her and threw his arms around her. "I miss you so much," he told her, clinging to her probably more than he would in general when they used to see each other about daily. "I'm glad you could come."

Harri hugged him back, squeezing him tight. "I missed you too, love. And I'm sorry, I really am." Harri still felt awful for the night she turned up on Aiden's doorstep in tears, trying to keep Marc's secret. "As if I wouldn't. I don't want to be anywhere else."

Aiden shook his head. "No, I'm sorry. I've been such an arsehole these last few weeks I could hardly think straight. I thought I would be okay, but I just... wasn't. I shouldn't have been such a bastard with your... whoever is name is. See, I was even confused when I realised he had two." He shook his head. "I'm sorry."

"You know it's bad when we're both trying to out apologise each other," Harri laughed as she turned her head to kiss Aiden's cheek. She pulled back enough to look at him, and cupped his face in her hand. "Marc. His name is Marc. Just one name now. So what's with the house, Mr Lewis?"

Aiden drew a deep breath and let it out heavily as he turned to look at the large, homely house. He threw out his hand in it's general direction. "Home," he told her turning to her with a smile that was tinged with sadness around the edges.

Harri looked up at the house before she looked at Aiden, a slight frown on her face. "Home?" She kept an arm around his waist as she stood next to him, trying not to freeze. "Home..."

Aiden nodded slowly, sighing as his blue eyes swept over the exterior of the house. "Yeah..." he confirmed softly. "For now, at least. I can't ask Pat to leave Princeton. It's not fair and it selfish if I did. He's in hospital again. They were even worried he might be having a relapse with the brain hemorrhage he had before he was diagnosed. I was such a bastard. That whole crap with the kiss was because I wasn't there for him when I should have been. I... I think this is where I need to be."

Harri nodded in understanding. "I know, love. I know... And you should be here. New York will miss you. I'll miss you. Again." She let out a sigh and rest her head on his shoulder. "He needs you, and you need him. It's a beautiful house. I still can't really believe that Aiden Lewis is a home owner, not just an apartment owner."

Aiden laughed softly. "Technically I'm both. I'm going to keep the apartment and stay there when I need to be in New York. The good thing about this house is Lachlan and Riley are literally just two streets over. If Pat needs help, it's there, and if he needs to be there for his godson, he can be there whenever he needs to. They're such a close family that I'm realising now I need to learn to be a part of... not take Pat away from. It's just not been an easy lesson to learn."

"No, I don't suppose it is. I'm still your family too, love. You can call me whenever you need to. I'll come visit as often as I can. You'll soon get sick of me. I'm glad you're making this move. I'm glad that Pat will have the help he needs. This is huge for you, love." Harri wrapped her arms around him in another hug. "And I'm glad I get to share it with you. Some of it, anyway."

Aiden returned the hug and rested his cheek against her neck. "You'll be sharing all of it. I'm fucking scared, Harri. I don't know what the hell I'm doing, but it feels right. When I told him about it, he just couldn't believe I would want to do all this with him. But I do, I'm just scared."

Harri rubbed his back, and touched his hair. "I'll be here for all of it if you need me. I'll always be here. I know it's scary, and I know I don't actually know what the hell to tell you to do either, but I'll help you find your way. I'm so proud of you, love."

"I'm just seeing that there's more to life than work and money and bastards wanting attention," Aiden murmured and then patted his pocket, looking for his keys. "Do you want to see inside? I want to know how things are going with your mafia spy."

"Are you sure you want to know?" Harri asked as she threaded her arm through his and tugged him towards the door. "Of course I want to see inside. Does it have a heater?"

Aiden laughed. "I know it has a fire, but my intentions weren't exactly innocent when I was scoping that out," he admitted as they made their way up the path to the front door. "And of course I want to know. I was just so screwed up these past couple of weeks. I clearly don't handle non-work related stress very well... or jealousy."
