Harri had been in a meeting when Aiden tried to call her, but this time he wasn't going to be a broody bastard and not leave her a message. He told her receptionist to make sure Harri got his message word-for-word and then said for her to meet him in Princeton - with the address - at five that afternoon and to call him if she couldn't make it. He had left the message at 10am and hadn't heard back, so he assumed she was going to be able to make it. He would rather talk to her about things in person, especially considering how off in general he had been lately. Everything with Pat had taken it's toll and he had withdrawn rather that tried to open up about it. In hindsight, that was probably a stupid idea.
He sat on the hood of his car in the drive of the house, an almost empty cup of coffee nursed between his gloved hands. It was a cold afternoon and his breath swirling in front of him with each exhalation. He had been sitting here for a short while waiting for Harri and he realised how much he missed her. Funny how things can shift so much when love was involved. He never thought he would see the day that they were both pursuing a love interest simultaneously. It seemed almost surreal.
