so this morning I was listening to Ben Lee and doing my cs 336 reading. my cs336 prof always makes up the most ridiculous analogies that are waaaaay complicated and have very little to do with what is actually going on. also, she'll just keep using them and dragging them on.... this one's not very complicated but here's an ex. with circiuts and voltage: the flowing 1's are cave water and the flowing 0's are bubbling spring water. You can't mix cave water and bubbling spring water.
Well, yes I could if I wanted to... think up a better analogy like oil and water or maybe something that explodes when you mix it... or perhaps just say you can't have both at the same time. Cave water and bubbling water.. *shakes head* that is just stupid. Also, 0's don't flow.
so anyways... i'm listening to this song and i realize the lyrics are
But I don't think that's a suitable metaphor for me
How can that be?
and he says it a bunch of times.
I HAVE FOUND A THEME SONG FOR CS336!!!!!
[EDIT]
today's metaphor: main memory is antarctica, the registers are the seats in this room, the podium is the processor... or maybe it was supposed to be the alu, i forget. the point is: RIDICULOUS ANALOGY THAT WENT ON ALL CLASS
