why can't parents just let you stop something that you're no longer interested in without giving you that 'oh no, you can stop *disappointed sigh* it's ok, really.' bull?? continuing something that you should be in because of a love of learning it, and a devotion to it simply because your parents want you to is not right. i see that, why can't they? the system is different now, it doesn't have the same feel. it's to the point where, if i go on, it's because i want to learn all i can because i have a passion for it. i don't. and they wonder why i don't want to come to them with this sort of thing.
