(no subject)
We did took in $0 on Valentine's Day, so it was a pretty big bummer. I've had one nice sale since we started: a lady who bought a 14k two-tone engagement ring set and a 2ct Moissanite (well, equivalent size to a 2ct diamond; Moissanite doesn't weigh the same.)
Otherwise, we've been doing a good many repairs, which I love b/c it's good, steady money. Our biggest problem last week was that this customer came in and ordered a bunch of stuff out a catalog which we thought was going to cost us about $75 and charged him accordingly. B forgot to ask how much it was going to be, and when it arrived it cost us $260. So we lost money on the sale and then had to lengthen the bracelet and modify the pendant so it would go over the chain. A fiasco from start to finish.
Hopefully it will get better this week. We are supposed to be having enough jewelry coming in to at least fill up the cases. I'm scared because I'm the one who has to tag it all and put it out. One tiny fuck-up on a memo tag, and we'd be in real trouble. I'll just have to be extra-extra-careful

It's been such a gorgeous weekend!!! And I have been sitting on my sofa looking out the window at it. I think I'm going to go out and play. :)
