Severus took in every sign of the fury radiating from the young witch as she approached. Their eyes met and he witnessed, with a startling clarity, the live fire in the depths of her eyes. With a nod of sudden unease, he dismissed her.
He moved forward and his arms went up to elegantly adjust his cuffs. He grabbed the two boys’ heads, roughly facing them to their work. Turning away, he was no longer certain the action was only for his amusement and not some irrational retribution on behalf of the girl with the wide eyes of chocolate fire.
