Wow...another update...
I have really bad luck with managers and work schedules.
When I turned in my availability in January, I said I wasn't able to work on Thursdays and Fridays due to class at night (because I was registered for night classes at that time) and never changed my availability. And I haven't been scheduled for those days...until the schedule for next week. I'm scheduled for Thursday and Friday...and my parents come in to Las Vegas on Thursday morning. Shit. I know I request big chunks of time off (Christmas Break, Spring Break) and that's why I didn't request the entire week my parents are going to be here off. I don't really care that I have to work on Friday, but the problem is that she scheduled me for 3 - 9 and I don't even get out of my last class for the day until 4. The earliest I can get there is 4:30. And then there's the problem with Saturday. Two weeks ago, I requested Saturday off so I can go to California with my parents. My manager said no problem and she put it on her calendar. So my mom bought my ticket. And then I find out today that I'm scheduled to work on Saturday. ARGH!!!!!
It's not even that I don't want to work. The more I think about it, it's more of the fact that this is EXACTLY what Sean used to do when I worked at the OMX in Hilo. It's like they throw my availability away and don't care when I requested off. I'm getting so fed up with everything that I'm tempted just to quit and not even give notice.
