Hmmm... The storm last night was odd. We heard hail for about 20 seconds, and some very high winds, which really freaked out the dog. We lit candles in anticipation of the power going out, which it did. But only for about five seconds, just long enough for the clocks to reset.
I looked out the back window to see my weird neighbors trash cans rolling down the alley. But this morning, the same cans were at the far other end of the alley. They must have blown in the completely opposite direction at some point. I'm kinda pleased that he will have to chase them down because a) I don't like him (this is the crazy lawn guy) and b) he refuses to use the big city provided cans so this is what he gets.
Woke up this morning to loud noise to find bumper to bumper traffic on my street. Tarc buses and all. Apparently there are so many trees down in the area that my street is now a detour. Which is fine, but it's so loud it ruins my plan of laying in bed all day and watching LOTR with the cast commentary. What else am I supposed to do when I'm sick?
In other news, Paul and I are going to New York City sometime in April, we think. We're staying with Matt and Colene which will be awesome (and free!). I've never been there. Anyone who has, any suggestions on what we should do? Things that can't be missed? The only suggestions I've gotten so far are from my brother and they all involve sporting events. Woohoo.
