So, it's been over a month since I last updated and I haven't even really been keeping up-to-date with my flist, for which I apologize. I've spent the last few weeks being incredibly stressed and busy with schoolwork and work and being sick. I had a mini-meltdown last week and very nearly turned in my two-week notice at work. So, my Lit papers have been turned in so now I have to focus on studying for my New Testament exam.  And I've been up for the past 30 or so hours staright.  So effing tired.

I'd love to sleep but I'm about to go hang out this afternoon and say goodbye to my good friend who's moving back to Florida next week.  I am going to miss him immensely.

So, I'm sitting here trying to do my Lit homework and I'm having such a hard time because I feel disconnected. I miss my friends -- not just the online ones I've made over the years b/c we shared a fandom or two but the ones I used to see and hang out with at least once a week but no longer do and am stuck playing a perpetual game of phone tag ( Read more... )

I'm having a rough week -- mostly because of work related issues. Let's see, apparently one of my hosts was going ro give a two week notice but then just decided to quit instead so there's a week and a half of shifts that need to be covered but I was going to be able to do the schedule for the end of the month okay without him. Well. My mom has to have surgery this coming Thursday; she has a cyst on one of her sinuses. On the plus side: it's in the safest place it could be; the down side: it's right before the holidays. She'll be out of work for 11 days but she has enough sick time to get paid for all of those days; myself, OTOH, will not be getting paid for the three ( Read more... )
