Lookit! An update of sorts!
Yesterday I bought the new 3 Doors Down album and I'm really enjoying it.
Also, I got a digital camera (a pearl white 6.2MP Kodak) as a graduation present from my mom yesterday. Actually, I got one over the weekend but as it turned out to be a piece of shit and after checking online, I found that about 97 out of every 100 customers who had bought that same brand of camera had also found them to be pieces of shit. Just to warn any of you looking for a new digital cameras, do not buy Sakar/Digital Concepts cameras (they also make the Crayola kids digital camera).
So, I'm completely in love with American Idol's David Cook. My new icon that I just made this morning is my favorite pic of him. I've voted for him the past three weeks. In the past, when I've tried to vote, I gave up after five minutes of busy signals. The only reason I didn't this year is because I had dubbed Cook my Tamyra Grey/Chris Daughtry this season and then Ryan Seacrest mentioned the other week that it was the same round in which both had been sent home and I was not going to let that happen to David Cook. I should also mentioned that I hadn't watched this season since Hollywood Week. I fell in love with Cook when a local radio station was recapping and played the clip of him singing Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby" and I was done for when I heard the clip of him doing "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera. I cannot tell you how much I love his version of "Always Be My Baby." I've downloaded all of his live performances and the studio recordings. Last week and the week before, I voted for him 66 times; last night I only voted for him 6 times. 6 is my favorite and lucky number.
I only voted for him 6 times last night because I feel that as a Cook fan, I should vote for him even though I don't actually want him to win because if he does, then that means that he's going to be trapped under AI's thumb for the next year or two and I don't want that. I want him to be able to make the kind of album that he wants to--not the kind AI wants him to make. (And you know that 2nd place/1st runner-up is going to get a recording contract too--they always do.) Don't get me wrong, I'll buy the AI produced album(s) if he wins and I do believe that he will win tonight and not just because DialIdol.com predicts him having more votes than Archie by a mile but because of Simon's negative reviews last night. If anything gets the fans voting, it's Simon's negative comments. And considering how Simon was fawning all over Archie when he's made it pretty clear over the last few weeks that he wants Cook to win--he was trying to light a fire under Cook's fans, IMO. And I'm pretty damn sure that it worked.
So, tonight I'll be watching to see which David is crowned the winner. And now I'll be off to find clips of DC's performances from last night to download.
