. . . that this magazine chose this picture for their cover story on Jane Eyre. Considering, of course, that this scene is potentially the most traumatic and devastating scene of the entire novel. I haven't read the whole article yet, but from the headings and captions [and pictures!] they seem to be emphasizing the romantic. Hmm . . . .
